Stan Gibbs Cape Cod Canal Fisherman's Classic Tournament Rules & By Laws

Fishing Tournament Rules

1. SGCCCFC is an "Invitation Only" tournament.

2. Start time is midnight September 30th, and ends 5pm, October 31st.

3. Fish must be caught from the shore bound areas of the Cape Cod Canal from the further most point of the east end jetties, to the last parking spot abutting the pier at Blinn Hall on the Massachusetts Maritime Academy campus and Blinker 28 on Gray Gables Beach.

4. Fish must be landed by rod and reel only, with no assistance.

5. All lure types and baits are legal except those baits and methods deemed illegal by the Massachusetts General Laws Section 103, pertaining to the catching and landing of Striped Bass will apply.

6. Official weigh station is Canal Bait & Tackle in Sagamore, MA.

7. The weigh-master and / or tournament directors reserve the right to inspect, eviscerate, and photograph all fish and fishermen.

8. The Stan Gibbs Fisherman's Classic reserves the right to use any photos taken for the promotion of this tournament.

9. Entry fee must be paid no later than the date of the Spring cookout and registration day of that year. Tournament fees are non-refundable.

10. Participants must be sixteen years or older on the date of registration.

11. New participants must be sponsored by an Original Charter Member.

12. Participants must sign and uphold the Stan Gibbs Fisherman's Classic pledge.

13. Violation of tournament rules can and may result in expulsion.
