Food Pantry Donations

Stan Gibbs fishermen donate hundreds of pounds of fish to the Bourne Food Pantry each year through our fishing tournament.

4th of July Parade

Each year on the 4th of July, the Stan Gibbs Canal Fisherman's Classic participants ride their custom fishing bikes, loaded with rods, reels, and lures in the Town Of Bourne Fire Fighters sponsored parade.

Canal Clean-Up Day

During the fishing season, our nearly 200 participants set aside 2 hours to pick up trash along the Cape Cod Canal to help maintain the beauty and health of the water and surrounding environment.

Learn To Fish

Weather you are 10 years old or an adult, fisherman of the Stan Gibbs Cape Cod Canal Fisherman's Classic with decades of experience provide tips and teach skills necessary to be successful in catching striped bass along the Cape Cod Canal.

We maintain a display case at the Canal Region Chamber Of Commerce in Sagamore showing the history of fishing, with photos & stories about our group and methods used in catching striped bass in the Cape Cod Canal.
